Large Vintage Bakelite Rootbeer deeply carved flower brooch EXCEPTIONAL

I recently obtained a very large volume of exceptional vintage jewelry.   Designer signed, collectible and magnificent pieces from two private estate sales.  The jewelry is in exceptional condition.  High End, Designer, Juliana, D&E, Signed and fabulous unsigned pieces and sets.     The jewelry is Mid-Century through retro.

This end of day a LARGE, IMPRESSIVE deep translucent Clear Root beer swirl Bakelite brooch which makes an extremely nice statement and will certainly not get overlooked.   The color is a beautiful Deep Rootbeer Brown swirl color:  Multi-dimensional carved brooch is in remarkable condition with the design having deeply incised floral design and hand carved artistry. There is one large 4 petaled floral display with beautifully hand carved detailing. The edges surrounding the exterior are boundless with smooth pinwheel design and hand etching on the top of some swirls.
Brooch is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks found. The roll over clasp and hinge are original to this piece and is still tightly fastened to the bakelite without any wobble. The clasp works as expected.
Brooch measures 3 1/8 inches in length by approximately 2 inches in width. Total weight of this adornment is 27 grams. Would look great on a shirt collar, lapel, sweater, dress or coat. Makes a very nice statement and will certainly be a conversation piece that will not go unnoticed. All Bakelite offerings that I am offering have been tested with Simichrome polish and hot water.
Bakelite brooches became popularized circa 1920 to well into the 1940’s within the Art Deco Period. These pins were often worn at the center of a v-neckline or used to adorn anything from a hat, coat or lapel.
